ok.Really diverse music.Fast cars,great coffee and pizza.Taking animals to the vet when they are hurt instead of letting them die under the porch.Marijuana.Using proper english when speaking,thus avoiding double negatives.Macs.Cool clothes,going south in the winter.Hippies,hot tubs,books and great chocolate.Going to therapists and counselors for everything.Good dental hygiene.Pretty gay friendly. We hate mosquitos,slow out of state drivers and uberrich folks who come here and try to use money as an intelligence tool.We masticate them and spit them out. Great place to live except for the highest taxes and subzero endless bleak winters..hehhehheh

Northern things that this here Southern boy likes (not a complete list, just what I can think of at the moment):
Hockey - I am forever grateful to the Yankee that took me to my first hockey game. I fell in love with the sport and have enjoyed it ever since.
NY style pizza - I've had it down here, from Yankees that moved South and opened up shops, but there's nothing like actually getting a slice in NY
Philly cheesesteak - I had a friend in Philly who turned me on to this.
The Empire State Building - I love the architectural design of the building
Bruce Springsteen - kid from the Jersey shore whose songs are as Americana as you can get. He reaches across all regions with his music and shows.
Bob Dylan - Robert Zimmerman is from Minnesota (still up North) but Bob Dylan was created in NY City, in the Village. A whole generation of poets and singer/songwriters found their style there.
