BTS put this up on the other thread that Sylvia linked:
Acts 2: 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to thebreaking of bread and to prayer. Acts 20:7:On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight. Corinthians 10:16: Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? I conclude that the frequency of the event was weekly, on the first day of the week, and was not merely a meal, but the "Lord's Supper" (or Memorial or Eucharist, different names are used for this) being celebrated anew as Jesus commanded. Paul does make the case that, regardless of how OTHERS may have used the term(break bread), he used it to specifiy ( at least in this letter) the Lord's Supper. Thing is, Jesus didn't really give instructions on HOW or WHEN to do the Lord's Supper, but he did say to do it and when doing it, to do it in rememberance of him. I say this, for thought. EVERY meal we take, we shoudl remember the Lord and the Grace we say, thanking God and Jesus, is the "lord's prayer".

Practically, it is a complete waste of time. You fight a crowded parking lot, with 18 attendants each trying to direct you to a different spot. You get in, find a seat, get kicked out of it. Then, about half of the talk is about who does not partake (hence, rejecting Jesus) before actually passing the damn emblems. After, it is about making it to all the boasting sessions, and why are you not putting in 200 hours or more of field circus.

Thanks snowbird for the enlightenment. I never thought about the points you have brought up.
I think that the Memorial is for the WTS to gauge how many "potential" members there can be.

The Memorial, what is wrong with it.
Surely this pair are good winning candidates?
John 6:53-54 (New International Version)
53 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
How do JW think they have life without partaking?
How do they think they are going to be raised in the first resurrection (of the righteous) without partaking?
Blessings,
Stephen

First off is the New Covenant which is to be MADE WITH ISRAEL Who observe the Commands of YHWH and especially HIS SABBATHS AND FEASTS BEGINNING WITH PASSOVER. To become part of ISRAEL AND HEIRS of the Promises of that covenant one has to be baptized into Israel in the name of Messiah, becoming a disciple and a citizen of Israel and observing The Law as he did. YHWH made no covenants with any outside of the decendants of Abraham.
Jesus, apostles observed Passover, not 'Easter'
Learn significance of 'Feasts of the Lord' for followers of Yeshua

"Passover is not just a Jewish holiday.......It is one of the "Feasts of the Lord" in the Bible, all of which have special meaning and significance for all believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The feasts were commemorated by Jesus and His apostles – and continued to be observed by Jesus' followers in the first century even after His death and resurrection......."
