did you know the watchtower had to pay out 16 million to victims of child sex abuse in may 2007 because they had not reported abusers to the police (like in your case) and they went on to abuse again , this was on the news in america check it out for yourself .

This is very sad Loulou and it breaks my heart that people in the world who are so evil exist at all.

Your daughter is very brave and i think she is very lucky to have you to support and understand her.

I cant change what happened in the past only looking to the future. I am a diff person to the when i left and i come back now to make a new start. If something happend i the religion i didnt agree with, i would have no issue with expressing my own feelings and standing up for myself. I am a jehovahs wittness beacuse i love Jehovaha and his principals and if things are happening in the organisation that are not right ill be the first to say. All of us are imperfect and i do not condone anything that has happened in the past to your daughter or myself. I just think awareness is the first step to change things for the next generation aka my daughter.

People who are abusers may think they can hide behind religion as people there are all trusting and love oneanother. But if it is wrong then Jehovah hates it as much as you or I. I think maybe some ideas in the organisation need modernising but unless people speak out this probably wont happen. And as im newly back i know there is much for me to re learn. I hope you daughter is able to rebuild her life and move on to achieve greatness in whichever path she chooses.

    xx

    miseryloveselders, my thoughts exactly!!

LOL Try expressing openly your disapproval of things happening in the org and see if your are allowed to remain in good standing.

    One guess!

An active JW who believes in the org coming to an 'apostate' site to make new friends. OK!

Many would agree with you here, including me. However, when people in the organization speak out, they are usually 'shepherded' to be quiet. Questioning the Faithful and Discreet Slave is frowned upon. Unity is very important. If someone who speaks out does not comply with the gag order, they are disfellowshipped, like my Uncle was.

It sounds to me like you have seen your own share of problems already. I am truly sorry you have had to go through that. Being a JW doesn't protect anyone from anything.

I am curious... if your daughter were to need a blood transfusion to save her life, would you allow her to have one? I know I would if I had children, however, JWs can be disfellowshipped for this.

    Hi little-butterfly,

I left the Witnesses but found something missing in my life. The 9 to 5 routine was boring me to death. So I became a gladiator. It's a tough life but the hours are short. The people I meet at work don't last long in the job, particularly Christians!

    A word of advice.

New friends are alright but used friends are cheaper.

You get some strange types on this forum. Don't believe everything they say. I will watch your back for you.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

Ok, little-butterfly, I have a question regarding something you said:

If something happend i the religion i didnt agree with, i would have no issue with expressing my own feelings and standing up for myself. I am a jehovahs wittness beacuse i love Jehovaha and his principals and if things are happening in the organisation that are not right ill be the first to say.

On what basis do you equate loving Jehovah and his principals with following the organization known as Jehovah's Witnesses?

Give that a try and let us know how it turns out.

Ok so, upon registering with this site i thought it was a genuine JW site, nieve yes.

Would i let my daughter have a blood transfusion? Im a doctor so no. I know there are other treatments available.

I value everyones beliefs or opinions and think everyone is entitled to there own opinion. Will i make firends here, prob not by the sound of it.

Is it an eye opener to see so much hate in the world, yes.
