So why is obesity not a disfellowshipping offense?

Should our more wobbly friends at the very least be marked?

According to the Watchtower..
Alot of people are going to be killed at Armageddon..
Including some Jehovah`s Witness`s..
Inactive JW`s and JW`s who don`t do enough for the WBT$..
Are Marked for Death..
They make up about 99% of the JW Membership..
If God kills all the Fat JW`s..
There will be about 6 Jehovah`s Witness left, who will live through Armageddon..
Unless they are Killed during the Great Tribulation..

Although rarely used, I have heard of one case many years ago where someone was DF'd for gluttony.

O-kaaaay, now this is why I still think that "Questions from Readers" article that someone briefly showed me - about JWs being forbidden to eat fats - was NOT a joke....
That is driving me frikkin' nuts... Some guy in the ex-JW support group I belong to, brought in a magazine with that "Questions from Readers" about whether JWs could eat fat - and the gist of the reply was that fats were reserved for Jehovah, along with the blood - and that JWs were not to eat FATS!!!
And yes, I looked thru "Witchtower" - and that "Questions from Readers" WASN'T in it, if I recall...
Wouldn't be too surprised if the WTBTS did eventually attempt a ban on eating fats... Could be viewed as being similar - in its life-threatening ramifications - to cigarette smoking...
Zid "Let them eat cake!" [and Marie Antoinette did NOT say that - it was one of France's royal ministers or advisors who said that!!]

Oh, don't worry, iknowall. We were marked. The only fat sisters who had husbands gained the weight after the marriage.
Gluttony and being fat (while sometimes correlated) are two different things.

bluecanary I meant no offense by what I said. Smaller people can be gluttons too. Im just going along with the point you made that gluttony can be related to being fat.
Were you really marked? can you explain?

In my congregation in the '90's, there was a pioneer family, and the dad looked about like that man in the picture. I saw him at an assembly once and his stomach hung between his legs (had to sit with them far spread apart) and almost touched the ground when he sat down. He walked with a cane. No marking as they all were pioneers: Wife, 2 daughters, and dad. The son tagged along as he was still young.
