Scarred for life
There is no individual person that I hate. I do hate the JW organization and JWs as a whole. But I mainly feel pity for the individual JWs including members of my extended family. I do find it impossible to have a relationship of any kind with my JW relatives. They don't all shun me but they are such robots and I cannot share my life with them. They just don't know anything except their little JW world.

I teach my kids that to "hate" is to kill someone in your heart. Is premeditating their death, so to speak.
With that said....
I hate child molesters, rapists, drunk drivers who have wrecks that kill people and anybody who is cruel to animals or children.
There!
On that sliding scale I "intensely dislike" pompous religious bigots who manipulate the lives of others using fear and division.
Is that enough negativity for one evening?
I also firmly believe that once you start "actively" hating you end up becoming something as awful as what you hate.

I don't hate people but sometimes I really hate what they do!

Some people make me angry, and I may dislike them for a while. At least until the heat of the moment passes.
But hate?
No. I don't want to have those feelings inside of me.
Hating is far worse for the person doing the hating than it is for the person being hated.

Hate is over-rated.
Hate is wasted energy... the person who is the object of your hatred doesn't feel its effects if all you are doing is "hating" them. All you are doing with hatred is obsessing over unfinished business, instead of moving forward with life.
Hatred implies that you still have unfinished emotional business with someone. It isn't the opposite of love, it's part of the spectrum of feelings. When you are truly "done" with someone, there are no feelings. Not love, not hatred, but indifference.

Nicely said, Scully. When you hate you end up hurting yourself the most - those toxic thoughts and feelings do not hurt the object of hate but they have a direct effect upon your body and psyche, and that spills over into other aspects of your life and it's you who ends up suffering from it.

I hate my ex husband. I hate what he does to me and our children and his new wife and their child and his family. I think I pretty much hate everything about him.

I'm with those that have said hate is a waste of energy. It's really not good for you.
Regarding WC's comments, I thought they were pretty funny.
Terry, you hate drunk drivers that have killed innocent victims. Do you hate them even if they are truly sorry????

Hatred is like drinking poison and waiting for someone else to die.
