I have never heard of ANY committee meeting ever being recorded. However, Ray Franz reportedly seems sure that it was, and that they later refused to give him a copy, claiming the tape was destroyed.
Of course, this had to have been the committee action of the century, from the GB viewpoint - so maybe they recorded it as a special provision. Didn't they have a local committee do the deed? So, maybe, the GB back at Bethel wanted to hear a tape of what went on -
I was never aware of a written instruction NOT to record committee actions, either - it was just never done in my experience. For sure they kept a written record of DF events (and circumstances) in the publisher's files. The Ray Franz DF notes should make some fascinating reading, right?
