I get the idea that for some, having excited the JW mind control cult, they find themselves measuring their prospective non JW mates almost to the same 'high standard' used in the dubland. As a result, they get somehow stumbled, and then give up the entire process. The question is; are we willing to lower down our 'high standard' in order to 'win' the non-JW mates? To some, I think this is a tricky question that calls for balance as we navigate the free non JW world. That is IMHO.

I get the idea you haven't dated much in the outside world. Rest assured, whether or not you are "stumbled" by your previous mindset, this doesn't change the fact there are self centered, weirdo freak players out there. Those who haven't spent their formative years learning to spot and deal with them are susceptible to getting taken advantage of, by conditioning or chance. And everyone gets a turn, high standards or not.

Besides, dubs or those transmogrifying from such pupa have no monopoly on high standards either

Lease, After reading what you wrote, I was LOL. I could not believe it. You have a wonderful gift of creative writting. Please, look to the way of pinning down a novel about your experiences as a dub. Please, never underestimate the amount of public interest it can generate :) Thanks Scott, I fear writing. This was actually my first attempt at creative writing. Your post inspired me. Which will make my #100 post special and memorable. I usually write procedure manuals for my employers, which i am very comfortable with. I had taken an English class and the teacher was livid with my writing style....we both almost cried, she was so angry at my writing style and i was hurt by her screaming. i had to ask her to stop screaming. so, thus my fear of writing. however, recently, a teacher told me that he was going to miss reading my essays. my experience as a dub is as easy as clicking on my name: lease. so, tell me.....how would you like the chance meeting for you to end? lease

Not interested in pictures as I'd prefer to meet people face to face. There is nothing wrong with me face to face or in most pictures. That was in Delaware where no one looks glamorized. I prefer to be more natural. Do you know how old I am?

White Dove, Well, if you have some more confidence in yourself, you would have found someone by now. Try some little changes in you and see how it works out for you. Get some new clothes? Maybe a new haircut? Going out to the gym? Changing the way you eat? You will find someone if you try to do something about yourself. Good Luck!
