Back in the day, I faded and didn't even know it; I just thought I "left" ;)

I don't think it applies to lots of us, I just stopped going , hardly a fade.
It caused a lot of consternation too, so much so that all sorts of rumours were started about the reasons for my leaving.
It is just handy shorthand to describe those of us not DF'd or DA'd I suppose.
It matters not if we are self deprecating, the active JW's will tear us apart anyway.
I am proud to have made the scriptural and moral decision to leave, so I am a C.O (Conscientious Objector) not a fader.

The cult catches those who wake up in a hopeless situation. Do you just up and denounce it and lose your entire family? Your OWN FAMILY will shun you if you speak your mind and leave.
Some pretend, and get by and keep their families. A sick situation, but when caught between and rock (knowing it is bullshit) and a hard place (family still delusional) what the hell do you do?
I honestly think the WTBullshitSociety should be hit with numerous "Alientation of Natural Affection" lawsuits. That's the only thing that would make them back off the shunning crap.
Only my Mom is a witness, I can only imagine how it would be if all your Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, Parents, Brothers and Sisters...........its INHUMANE!
