    highdose,

I am glad you made a success of yourself, in spite of the fact that you can't spell.

If anybody mentions that some posters cannot spell, it is usually because they are referring to JWs who usually have a piss poor education - and are proud of it to boot! Their religion makes them arrogant (even though there is nothing to back it up) and they need to be taken down a few notches.

Of course, it isn't the measure of a person how well they can spell - it just helps people understand what they are saying.

My husband gets confused about there/they're/their, which I think is highly amusing. I even found a facebook page for him: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Knowing-the-difference-between-Theyre-There-Their-Your-Youre-To-Too/190353434670?ref=ts

But he's a better speller than I. That's why I always have a dictionary handy.

When I was in school, teachers made a big deal about correct spelling.

They even tried to teach me good penmanship, but gave up in despair!

    LOL.

My cursive handwriting is stuck at 4th grade level. In high school I used it only with my signature and "per." below it with the period number in the upper right corner of homework assignments. I used print for everything else, which is exclusive today, aside from my signature of course. I do have though three different print styles that I use (I think of them as different fonts).

I had spelling problems in school and it took a long time to find out why. The answer - WB&TS! All the magazines and books we got, including the Bible (NWT) is written in US 'english' not proper English as used here in England. Punctuation is also different, for example we use semi-colons. (;)

We must be one of the few countries in the world that cannot get the NWT or WT in their own language. I think they are even available in Welsh which is really just a 'hobby' language. (Sorry any Welsh posters).

I know I am not the only one to have suffered because of this.
