With all respect to the many fine women on this board, you clearly never met my ex wife.

I hate to say it kids, but it's not just JW's.

My saddest moment as library staff was the day a woman came up to me after standing around looking at us all for too long. She furtively asked me where the section on child molestation was. At that time, I was not even supposed to help people find materials, just check them out. But I could see this woman chose me and so went out to the stacks with her. When we got out there and looked at a few books, she suddenly turned to me with teary eyes and said "Why would he do that??". I just said "I don't know", and tried to help her focus on the different books on the subject. She checked out several. I was tore up for the rest of the day.

About a month later, I saw her again, and noticed the stuff she was checking out. How to drive your man wild in bed, how to make your man happy, how to be sexy, lose weight,.............................etc. etc. It made me sick. He obviously convinced her it was her fault.

    ..... oh but Jeffy dear......

Infidelity to her is not the same as infidelity to Jah and his Organization.......

Yep Beks..... it does happen in many relationships!

    Sad about her situation......

I remember in one counseling session I had to admit I loved the concept and presentation of our marriage/family more than I love my husband after his internet inappropriateness. Sucked, really really sucked but as the counselor pointed out, marriage isn't suppose to be unconditional love like that of parent-child. It is to be mutual in desire and respect. Forgiveness doesn't happen like the WTS portrays with resuming sexual relations....nope it takes lots of time, determination and effort to rebuild trust......(and it helps my hubby is as pretty to look at coming as he is going:)

There are a ton of 'sisters' that are just as bad as this guy.

But sisters go through HELL in the org. They wait and wait to marry some 'prince'.....read 'servant'....who is then just some dude that could ride around in a mini-van for 10 hours a month...... they marry him....... they start making babies. Keep in mind they rarely can support themselves since they didn't go to college.......so they start weighing out the 'benefits' of taking the loser back.....

...a lot of them take them back. Then cry and cry due to unhappiness.

    Its truly a criminal situation.

it is pure hell if you stay.....it is pure hell if you leave......very pretty young sister ,,,who came from a "disfunctional home" ....met and eventually married a "nice,,,theocratic" brother...they had 2 kids....

the brothers family was "deep" spiritually....father elder..mother of the annointed class...you get the picture...marriage went to hell in a hurry....

the sister worked at a medical clinic,,,,and eventually fell in love with a doctor...who...also fell in love with her...things progressed "physically" and she was disfellowshipped...the doctor wanted to marry her...

end result....elders forced her not to marry the guy....if she did,,,she would be "out" for many years...maybe would't get into the new system...lose her kids,,,etc...they did not get together...she was disfellowshipped for over 2 years....the exhusband...almost immediately started dating a sister in his hall that he had "eyes" for even while married....wasn't long,,,and he married her....

the young sister,,,,at least at the time of me leaving was very alone...she was "soiled" by witness standards,,,,and stayed in the organization...she more than likely will be alone until she dies....the young sister was from my hall,,,and just a gem of a sister....

Weird how JWs have "mates" like donkeys and dogs instead of husbands/wives.

I see more JW ladies marrying "outside" now because what's available "inside" isn't worth the bother. "Two becoming one" means there is mutual respect and dignity.

You can't get that when one is drilled to be seen as inferior to the other - that there type of relationship is called master/slave.
