What do you think are the reasons why the WTS can't handle the truth on why members quit? Why must they disfellowship everyone who would say something like this to an Elder on why he/she no longer wishes to be a member........................................................................................................

'' I do not want to be a member any longer because of the changing ''generation'' teaching, the WTS is just a publishing and real estate corporation, the preaching work is just a means to distribute books and magazines, the baptism and disfellowshipping of teenagers is wrong, the meetings are boring, the meetings are repetative, the 144,000 is symbolic not literal ...etc.....etc....

Well imagine the disaster if they let these questioning members stay. Reason and Logic would spread like wildfire and pretty soon everyone would be asking the same questions.

Because the "Keep Yourselves in God's Love" book said most people leave (are kicked out) because they are sinners, not becuase of doctrinal issues.

BTW, if you leave because of doctrinal issues you are just rebellious, which is a DF'ing sin, so really it wasn't because of doctrinal issues, just your rebelliousness.

There is no "why" to people leaving the Watchtower Society.

You believe what they tell you to believe until you can't anymore.

Once you can't believe anymore--what else can you do but leave?

The Jehovah's Witnesses are a giant Placebo organization. It is a panacea (cure-all). You get many benefits from a placebo--but--only as long as you believe it will work.

Promises are lofty, emotional and charged with heroic storylines and cultural icons.

You join in order to plug-in to the source authority and participate in much the same way as a Renaissance Fair works.

It is play acting on a Universal stage with special dialogue, parts and activities. Role Playing can be energizing and mind stimulating if it isn't carried

to obsessive end. Of course, IT IS carried to obsessive ends.

    It grows tiresome.

    Stales.

JW life becomes a chore and boring, repetitious and those End Times Armageddon cure-all promises never happen.

When it is no longer heroic it quickly becomes tedious and bothersome.

You slow down, you complain, you drop out and often become outraged at the colossal waste of your time (and all that BELIEF!)

Members become testy, argumentative and rebellious.

They leave or get kicked out.

The TRUTH is a role-playing game. You really have to care about the GAME.

If you don't......if you actually GROW UP.....well, it is time to move on to more adult activities.

Why in the world would the manufacturers of a PLACEBO want to understand the product they promote is hot-air and promises?

They are honest people. They themselves believe. It would destroy their world.

Terry, have you tried more praying, personal study and field service? If not, I highly recommend it to correct your doubt problems. It fixes too much faith in god, too little faith in god, doubts, too much faith, low self esteem, high self esteem, materialism, poverty, materialism, ascetism, marital problem, being too happy in your marriage, hating your job, loving your job, being too homo, being too hetero, drinking too much, hating people who drink, having too much fun, having no fun....

about the only things it doesn't fix is being a fat dumbass.

Well then you're shit outta luck, my friend! Jesus loves 400 lb. fatties that can't make it to meetings thanks to dunkin donuts, cheeseburgers and ice cream with heart problems, high blood pressure and diabetes, but the guy that runs 16 miles every week and is in shape that enjoys cigar every two months....that cockbag is going to hell.

Terry, send me a PM, BTW. I need to know if you are near Dallas.

It's a mind set thing. They are captives of an illusionary concept. That they are "The Faithful Slave" of Matthew 24:45-47.

That they passed the test of examination by Jesus 1919 and were appointed by him at that time.

So, when people who have checked this historic 1919 time frame and this doctrine which all others rest, and fine that it is not true, then leave, the WTS. cannot accept their reasons for leaving.

If they did accept the reason about 1919, down would come the whole WTS. structure.

This is from Captives of a Concept, by Don Cameron.

I can hold as true that some, and maybe most members really believe. But some know it's a scam, only it suits them. Among them I would put all the members of the Governing Body and perhaps all the members of the Writing Department, Branch officials and the like. The rank and file, those I can believe to be believers.

RULES & REGULATIONS- The reason the WT society can't handle the truth about why people leave the organization ? Self serving pride and arrogance. The leaders of this mind control cult have WAY too much to lose by acknowledging the reasons JW members leave. So they MINIMIZE their reasons for leaving on purpose. They put the blame on the individual members- not the leaders of the WT society. Members are made to feel they have a lack of alleged " faith " or are deficient for leaving. The WT society WANTS it's members to feel deficient . Then THE LEADERS don't have to honestly admit their OWN deficiencies. WT society leaders have lots of $$$$ invested in keeping this 126 year old organization going - it's called retirement and security for the leaders - all at the expense of duping JW members . Now do you see why the WTS can't handle the truth ? Peace out, Mr. Flipper
