"Green Handshakes", ,,,,,silly, silly me !
I tried reaching out for several years, did EVERYTHING I was expected to do and never got the coveted MS position.
I thought just doing my best to serve God was all that was needed.
Only once did my wife and I have the CO over for lunch, so the green handshake might have been the missing link
Many of the guys appointed, or moved up the ladder were always all over the CO like flies on a hot fresh pile of crap.

Brown nosing indeed. The PO would wear a new suit and pretend to take an interest in the younger dubs.
My house bound grandmother would get a "shepherding visit"
It makes me sick just thinking about it.

That would explain why I busted my ass for 20 years and never got a title. I never gave anyone any money. I never donated to the hall or society either.

You should have taken the clue from the Politicians, give the Green handshake and you could become Ambassador to some country.
Did you ever see a CO or DO stay with the JW family on welfare in some Housing Project ................... these guys were Pros, they knew who to lean on for new suits and how to be wined and dined.
The only groups better were the Evangelicals, they made our guys look like Amatuers in the shake down department.
Brown nosers? They followed the CO so close that if he came to a stop their heads would go up his ass..
The main thing I noticed is that all the late-comers arrived at field circus very early when the CO was there.
Ass kissing and alot of it, of course this was all pre-hyped weeks prior to the visit.
PO would drive the CO and his wife around in his Cadillac and take them out to the best restaurants in town.
When you think about the CO must have thought of himself high up in the stature and privilege from
the rest of the rank and file.
You'd think the JWdubbers had a forced phony smile on their faces, normally.
The Sunday talk by the CO was like pasted grins in a state frozen animation.
HALL got cleaned really good,,,,people washed their car's....men got hair cuts,,,,shephearding calls made,,,so there would be a full hall,,,,people were encouraged to pioneer for a month,,,,(if not more).....etc etc etc.....
our hall is a last miute hall. everyone shows up at the last minute. but not at the CO visit. all the late ones are at least one half hour early to make a good impression
