sd-7, You get a "G" for "Use of Illustrations." Seriously, I'm going to use that one. That is excellent. We are all part of the generation from the time the words were spoken (another topic), 1914 has nuttin to do with nuttin (which we all know)...there is no distinction according to their definition. Love it.

I was also thinking of wobble's thread regarding the Gospel of Matthew. That just blows any suggestion of future prophecy.

I know if may be a pipe dream, knowing how little most dubs really do pay attention to what they're fed, but I really, really, really hope this causes more than a few to sit up and go, "Whaaaa?".

In your dreams undercover! I have asked lots of people in my cong what they think of this issue and only ONE brother, a young elder has said he has read the article. The rest just stare with a glazed expression. On 13 June it will be whizzed through in 10 seconds flat with a single 'read it from the paragraph' answer and no-one will be the wiser.

I never hear 'spiritual' things discussed before/after the meetings so the whole thing will be a damp squib. At the convention the talk is Sunday morning so all thoughts will be on lunch and a stroll along the beach before the afternoon snooze.

Lol on the "Seriously" (SNL), WTF!! I tried explaining this controversy of the generations teaching to my BF (never a JW) & he just looked at me with a glazed look, as if saying...I have no idea what the hell you're even trying to tell me-

You are all right about those still in, they will lap up all the new "light", vomit it back out, excitedly chattering about how priveleged they are to receive this "light getting brighter and brighter" bullshit, they will regurgitate it back out in WT study comments...patting themselves on the back on how smart they are....

Just the "two groups of anointed" gets me going!

How many "groups" and how many "separate and distinct classes"will there be among JWs in years to come? And how many times will JWs continue to say that have no class distictions in their "group" ? One JW I know claimed that JWs believe in the ONE HOPE spoken about in the Bible, and corrected herself only AFTER I showed that the WT does ,and has for YEARS, taught that there are TWO HOPES?

Now it seems that the WT may refer to "two groups" whenever they speak about the "faithful and discreet slave class".

I can hear it now. One will be the "modern day faithful and discreet slave class of our day"!

This is just the most asinine thing ever. The sad part is that most of those poor souls are going to lap that crap up at the DC this summer and thank God for the NEW LIGHT.....Even though the New Light makes about as much sense as building a mansion for Abraham and Moses when they return......oh wait, that happened.

I was just remembering how as a teenager I was scared to death in the late 80's waiting for Armageddon to hit since that "generation" was ready to end.

I cant believe they are rolling old Freddy out again for that talk - nice to know he is now part of my generation, even though my great-grandparents were born 10 years after he was!!!!

Don't make the mistake of explaining the new Generation doctrine to your Dubbies.

It is so confusing that some of you are reading into it, what it doesn't actually say. Be careful.

Dubbies only ever hear you when you say something wrong and they use that as an excuse to shut out anything you have to say from then on.

Ask them to explain it to you.

Don't even read it to them. Get them to read it to you.

Make them do the talking.

Ask them how they feel about it.

Keep them honest.

Keep them on topic.

Don't let them maintain the illusion that they still have any moral high ground left after this change. They have to prove that they are not the blind being led by the blind all over again.

The " length of the generation is limited " ? Oh really ? Sounds to me like the GB and WT society are trying to extend AND lengthen the generation to me ! LOL ! By saying Franz is a comtemporary of modern day anointed who knew him in 1992. These guys are just too much. I hope their house of cards falls all over themselves
