I guess I'm a sci-fi person, so...I like that kind of stuff and it's rare to see it in mainstream TV. In memory of the following shows that got axed:
Heroes
Dollhouse
John Doe
Firefly
Dark Angel
......May you rest in peace.
Favorite current shows:
Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Smallville (still trying to figure out how that show has gotten 9 years without him becoming Superman yet, but when they're good, they're good)
Caprica (Battlestar Galactica prequel, quiet and haunting at times, but then, so am I)
I rarely watch TV anymore, and the shows I watch either end or get cancelled, usually. This year, Heroes and Dollhouse got the ax.
Heroes was a show where I'd probably suggest there was a lot of untapped story opportunity, though I loved each season and waited patiently for them to even try to match Season 1 (they never did, only came close in their final season).
I got into Lost on DVD, but am too far behind and don't want to be spoiled by finding out what happened at the end. Ironically, a random e-mail from a shopping site I go to literally gave it all away in the first paragraph. Somehow, after dodging Entertainment Weekly and all other media, it just figures that something like that would happen.
Used to watch '24', but they got too brutal for me to handle, and after they killed off one of the most beloved characters in the series, I just couldn't watch anymore. Now that that's ending too, I will probably to catch up someday. Could use the adrenaline.
I definitely miss Battlestar Galactica. Few shows can operate on that high a level, in my opinion. Ah, well.
Anyone miss that cop show, 'Life', on NBC (I believe it was Damian Lewis and Sarah Shahi who were the leading stars on that)? I thought that one was going places, but never made it past the second season. Ah, well...
I'm rambling. Just testing the waters to see if anyone else actually liked these shows or if I'm alone and that's why so many of 'em got cancelled in the first place. That, and it beats talking about my personal life again. Which is actually a lot better right now, all things considered. Buh-bye!
