sd-7,
I seem to recall that you don't watch/like R-rated stuff. If this is so, please steer clear of 'True Blood'. If not, carry on.

That's for sure! He'll see more of Anna than he expected!
Does anyone know if FlashForward has been cancelled for sure? I just saw the season finale today and have been reading online that it isn't slated to have a 2nd season. Wonder if anyone knows for certain? This is one show I love to watch with my husband...along with Heroes, Caprica, 24 (sad to see it end!), Human Target...we love all kinds of sci-fi/action shows. I definitely miss Seinfeld!!! That was and still is my all time favorite show!
Thanks in advance,
PPP
leavingwt---True, I know it's more adult, R-rated type of stuff on True Blood. I guess maybe it's more the R-rated violence/gore that disturbs me than the R-rated sex scenes (yes, I know about that, MsDucky). So I admit that, pretty much the only conceivable reason I would watch would be, well, to see Anna Paquin gettin' it on...
But no, I probably will never watch that show. It was just an idle thought. Not an appropriate one. Wife would definitely find that unacceptable, now that I think of it that way. Let's just...move on from that awkward moment...
sd-7, I put my hand over my eyes more for the sexual stuff than for the blood and gore. How crazy is that! ?
GRRRRRRR!!!! Upon further research, Heroes is cancelled along with FlashForward!!! So aggravating! If anyone has watched the season finale of either show, it really stinks that they got the axe...because things were happening that required the show to continue! I know there comes a time for shows to come to an end, but come on...FlashForward was just getting started!!! Ah well, hopefully we will find some more favorite shows....
*Footnote: I think there are different shades of R-rated stuff. Like, I watched The Matrix Reloaded, which with the exception of one scene probably could've been passed off as a PG-13, I'd say. I even watched the last 'Shaft' movie, though pressing mute for all the bad language. Um...they showed us 'Glory' when I was in junior high school. When I was a high school intern, they showed 'Jerry Maguire' on the bus, but I went to sleep to keep from watching it, only to be awakened by Renee Zellweger's shouting "Never stop f---ing me!" in a sex scene. I didn't open my eyes, though.
Okay...honestly, when the Internet [and its proliferation of 'writing about prostitutes'] became my interest, I saw lots of bad things that would certainly be classed as R-rated or even beyond R-, really. I watched many parts of Showgirls, and probably have seen some parts of other R-rated films....which is not good. Seeing Rorschach cleave a guy's head open in 'Watchmen' was what disturbed me enough to not want to see R-movies anymore. I admit I mostly bought that to see Malin Akerman in her Silk Spectre costume and...yeah, the sex scene. But I did think the comic series was brilliant and wanted to see if they would do it justice. (I thought they came close, but failed in important ways and succeeded in unexpected ways.)
So it's not that I'm against all things R-rated, but perhaps just against seeing blood & gore of the R-rated variety. I guess that clears it up. And embarrasses me further. ...
Renee Zellweger's shouting
Actually, that was Kelly Preston. BIG difference.
I didn't open my eyes, though.
That's a shame.

I don't know. Guess I'm just...excited by seeing it for some reason, it's a guilty pleasure. Maybe it's one of those things, like...seeing someone I think is really hot and thinking, what would it be like to....you know...do certain things to her? Granted, that's certainly not my automatic first thought, but if I happen to know those scenes are there, it's more tempting to me. Getting off track here....more into an adult section...
Yeah, I was pretty bummed out when I found out Heroes was cancelled--I still haven't seen the finale yet. (Hayden Panettiere was definitely a little hottie this season--there were some awesome outfits for her. Sorry...) Supposedly they are planning a Heroes movie of sorts, so at least there'll be one more chance to see those characters. There'll be a '24' movie, too, I hear.
