I remember the look I got from my JW wife when I told my son and daughter they could do sports at school. That was just one of many things she didn't like her apostate husband doing. Funny, three years later (she got a divorce a couple years earlier) she was rooting for our son on a little league baseball team. A couple years later she had all but stopped going to KH meetings. I am not surprised that over 20 year later the WT is still opposed to kids having fun playing team sports.

Athletics helps develope leadership and confidence as well as independence.... No offense to you converts... But I never saw a JW that was confident, independent or a leader. There were some assertive assholes but none were leaders.

No wonder. The ex-witless wants his child to grow up independent. The witlesses do not. Hence, everything that might support independence is banned by the Washtowel. This includes sports, class trips, and college. Rather, they are supposed to waste all their time out in field circus.
