Hi guys, I know this has been done many times before, but I'm doing it so I can send this out to family and friends who are still in, so I can hopefully open their eyes. I'll update it regularly.
I am far from an expert on the subject, but I will do my best :).
Good start, there will be much to comment about how the book misquotes sources.
Back in the '80s, someone in our congregation placed this book with a householder and then came back in an RV the following week. The householder told him that he looked up some of the sources and saw that it was intellectually dishonest and he ripped the book up and threw it away.
I have long heard about the mis-quotes in this book. What I dont understand is my sister (who was married to an atheist, go figure) went to the library and looked up all of the references to show to her husband?!? Once I got free and saw the reality behind the book I can't figure out how you can research the references, see the mis-quotes and STILL to this day be a regular pioneer in that organization.
I think that the blood brochure and Trinity brochure are also filled with misquotes.

aside the misquotes, i think the most fundamental problem with the book is the flawed dilemma between Chance or Creation. No sane person would propose chance as the origin of anything biological. The book is entirely silent on three of the more compelling arguments in evolutionary biology -- Speciation, convergence and zoography.
In that and a number of other respects, it attempts to refute only a hollow caricature of the theory

I'm sitting here reading this summer's brochure Was Life Created? and am disappointed to see more of the same thing.
