Alternate answer:
If you want me to really stick to the topic question the answer is.......(at least in WTS world) the lesser positioned candidate.....because they can be encouraged to 'reachout' and do more!

Yknot: I am having sleepless nights preparing for the talk, haven't come up with the final intro yet.
