gary, I dont have the references, but it is the teaching of the superior autorities that was changed in the 20, from the governments (correct like taught by churches) to SA= jehovah and Jesus. then in the early 60s, it reverted back to the original correct teaching SA = governments.
The wrong teaching was last in the "Let God be true"-- all men found LIAR--- book.
flip flop in WT mag. WT BtS bases their claim to power on knowledge. Witnees at the doors have this premise: we are here necause we are right and you housho;der are wrong and going to be dead-wrong.
WT BtS are constantly wrong because like time, the "truth" is always fleetingly away from them. 1914 good bye.

TD: if I remember right one of the changes was that Jesus words " this generation" refers to the "YOU" spoken to, not the wicked generation that ended in 70 CE. WT said that the generation in Math24 were the anointed, and that why all the present generation is not just anyone but only "The anointed"
well looking at the context There were no anointed that jesus talked to in Math.24. He was the only anointed. further, as
CHALAM brought out above, even while drinking the CUP of THE (NEW) COVENANT it was not the anointed.
so,in this GENERATION deal wt has neatly wrapped up their main 2 power=knowledge themes: "Dates" and the "ANOINTED"
I would even go smaller in the generation usage. A family picture might contains several generations.
newborn great great daughter, father, grandfather, greatgrandfather 4 generations
Taken from the expression in many texts: "generation* after generation" *The fertile period of a female, 30-40 years.
this period of time* equaling the expiration date of the original (bad) generation in the first century.

I forgot all about my last response to scholar.
I think its safe to say that he had no intention of responding.

It seems gone are the days of any JW apologist attempting to defend their beliefs. Perhaps it is the dumbing down of the religion that has been occurring in the last 15 years or so...more emotional videos, less pseudo-intellectual reading.

Honestly........is it that hard to believe that there is no JW apologist that is able to defend the Overlapping Generations BS?
I don't think even likely that the GB believe it. It seems like just a "stop gap" temporary measure to attempt to explain their false prophesy. I'm sure they pray every Wednesday in their big GB meeting that Jehovah smite the ridiculers imminently as He ushers in the Great Trib.
How did I ever believe any of this BS? (Banging head against the bloody wall!)
