This is how the WT characterizes "anointed" Christians who died faithful to WT doctrine.

A careful reading of Matthew 24 (a trumpet blast from an angel will gather the chosen ones), 1 Corinthians 15 (ditto), 1 Thessalonians 4 (ditto), will reveal that ALL the dead will remain dead until that event occurs.

It takes a lot of twisting and turning of Scripture for the WT to conclude that the dead in Christ began to arise after 1918, and that those who died after that time experienced an instantaneous resurrection.

    I tremble for them!

Any "believers" think everyone else who doesn't have the same interpretation is "twisting" scriptures. Why can't you all just acknowledge that it's all fairy tale bullshit?

As a believer, I find your tone insulting.

May the Lord smite you hip and thigh!

I find your gullability dissapointing. Face it Sylvia, you're always going to be "ripe for the picking."

Sylvia I agree with you. It amazes me how the WTS arrives at some of their dates such as 1918 for the start of the resurrection of the anointed.

Yeah, all of it hinges on the bogus date for Jerusalem's destruction - the start of the so-called Gentile Times!

    Pity.

It's actually pretty simple and straightforward how they arrive at it, if you're willing to attach futuristic fulfillment to OT "prophecies" and play the 3 and a half times game.

Or if Jerusalem had actually fallen when they say it did.

But like John Doe said....if you're willing to believe that some Pied-Piper angel is going to blast his horn and raise the dead, I really can't see why you object to anyone assigning it a specific year. Their guess is just as good as the next guy's.

My point is that no one should play the timing game at all.

Acts 1:7-8 He told them, "You don't get to know the time. Timing is the Father's business. What you'll get is the Holy Spirit. And when the Holy Spirit comes on you, you will be able to be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all over Judea and Samaria, even to the ends of the world." MSG

What's amazing is how WT manages to worm its way out of the above admonition.

Why didn't I see this before?

I think it's called Blind Faith Snowbird. I think anyone that was "in" never saw things like these. I know I was blinded.
