Hi Snowbird
Have you read a book called "The Snow Goose" by Paul Gallico? (1) It is about a selfless and somewhat mystical snowbird (like yourself) and (2) it is set in a lonely lighthouse.
What more could you possibly want?

No, I haven't, Eyeslice.
I'm adding it to my list.

I've always had a secret longing to spend just one night in a lighthouse during a storm.
Why?
I don't know.
Hey, Terry!

How about spending the night in a fogbound lighthouse with a clown?...
What a wild and lonely place, Loz!
I can just imagine how seamen must have felt when they caught sight of its lights!
Yea it is exactly that Sylvia...its on the Island of Anglesey at the edge of North Wales...the place you would sail from/to when visiting Ireland usually...

I live a couple of miles from the setting of the UK version of Fraggle rock.

Terry, you can stay at St. Anthony lighthouse, not sure I would recommend it in a storm though, that fog horn is loud enough from my house!
this is split rock lighthouse on minnesota's
north shore, between duluth and the
canadian border.
it is short, as lighthouses go,
because it is on a 140 ft cliff....
this is split rock's centennial year!
this was the last lighthouse passed
by the ill-fated edmund fitzgerald....
superior, its said, never gives up her dead
when the winds of november blow gloomy.....
it is short, as lighthouses go,
because it is on a 140 ft cliff...
Wow, impressive ...
