there is one thing I'm struggling to understand and that is why some will not have their names written in the Lamb's book.

It is something decided by my Lord, the Lamb, dear NobleLodge (may you have peace!), the One to whom such "authority" has been given. The reasons for his doing so are not frivolous, however. Exodus 32:33; Psalm 69:28; Revelation 3:5; 13:8

perhaps we should find where it is and check out the comfort and safety. Whether there are enough sunbeds to go around.

Well, spirits don't tan, dear, Glad (peace to you, as well!). And if we're talking about physical flesh, well, some of us wouldn't be worried about such a thing...

Is the food and wine good?

    Oh, yeah! John 6:55

    Can we go on dates?

No point, really: no marriage and no procreating. BUT... doesn't mean we can't "hang out"... take in a [celestial] movie... you know, the usual "date" stuff...

Does the air conditioning work and will we be provided with parachutes?

You wouldn't feel it if it did... and no, it's a free-fall kind of thing...

Believers want to be God...err like God...err just want to fly and walk through walls...

Well, some want a little more than that (flying/walking through walls), dear Designs (peace to you, too!)... like, say, not dying (i.e., knowing "good" - life - AND "bad" - death... but not having the latter "hold" one... which IS like God... but does not make them God...).

For me, it's really not about that. I truly don't care if I receive everlasting life (seriously); it is not my decision and if the Most Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies, decides I shouldn't... well, the decision is His, sooooo...

I am just grateful for the freedom... joy... and peace... I... and my children... have NOW. There is NOTHING like, IMHO. That truly is enough for me and if the Most Holy One of Israel sees His way, through Christ, to grant me more... well, then, heck, who am I to complain? I am even more blessed... and, as a result, even more grateful.

Again, may you all have peace!

    A slave of Christ,

AwSnap I have been reading the Bible for the first time in my life. What my viewpoint on it is not the issue. I am SHOCKED as to the things I have been reading. I have been reading from Genesis on, and am now in 1 Corinthians. I cannot believe how blatent the Bible is that ALLPEOPLE WHO HAVE FAITH IN JESUS AND HIS FATHER will be going to heaven....according to the Bible.

    You go girl!

Plenty more treats in store for you as you read on :)

    Here's my 2¢

    Matthew 6:19-21 (New International Version)

    Treasures in Heaven
19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. ALL PEOPLE WHO HAVE FAITH IN JESUS AND HIS FATHER will be going to heaven...

I would SO love to allow this statement to stand as is, dear AS (peace to you!)... and you, too, dear Stephen (peace to you, as well!)... but it's not accurate and I so must speak. You may recall that my Lord is recorded to have said:

Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesyin your name, and expel demonsin your name, and perform many powerful worksin your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness."

So, to simply say that "all... who have FAITH in [Christ] and his Father... will be going to heaven..." is misleading. Rather, it is those who "do the will of [the] Father... and thus, who EXERCISE that faith... who will." What is that will? Well, it starts with obeying the Father Himself. Regarding that, my Lord is recorded to have said:

"For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Sonand exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day.”

How do we "exercise" that faith? We can start with OBEYING this command:

“This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved; listen to him.” Matthew 17:5

Most teach, however, that we "listen" to the SOn by reading/researching what's contained the Bible. Yet, the Bible itself records that Son himself as saying:

Y OU are searching the Scriptures, because YOU think that by means of them YOU will have everlasting life; and these are the very ones that bear witness about me.And yet... YOU do not want to come to me that YOU may have life." John 5:39, 40

Indeed, Christ is recorded to have said:

"Come to ME... all YOU who are toiling and loaded down, and I will refresh YOU. Take my yoke upon YOU and learn from me, for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and YOU will find refreshment for YOUR souls. For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.”

    and...

"If anyone is thirsty, let him come to ME...and drink. He that puts faith in me, just as the Scripture has said, ‘Out from his inmost part streams of living water will flow.’” ... he said this concerning the spirit which those who put faith in him were about to receive..."

He did not stop at simply chiding them for "searching the scriptures" rather than coming to him, however. He went on to say:

"I do not accept glory from men,but I well know that YOU do not have the love of God in YOU. I have come in the name of my Father, but YOU do not receive me; if someone else arrived in his own name, YOU would receive that one. How can YOU believe, when YOU are accepting glory from one another and YOU are not seeking the glory that is from the only God? Do not think that I will accuse YOU to the Father; there is one that accuses YOU , Moses, in whom YOU have put YOUR hope.In fact, if YOU believed Moses YOU would believe me, for that one wrote about me. But if YOU do not believe [what the one wrote], how will YOU believe [what I say]?”

    And what did Moses write?

"A prophet from your own midst, from your brothers, like me, is what Jehovah your God will raise up for you—to him YOU people should listen—" Deuteronomy 18:15

So, what should ones be listening TO? My Lord is recorded to say:

"... the sheep listen to his voice ... because they know his voice."

    and...

"My sheep listen to my voice, and I know them... and they follow ME." John 15:27

But HOW does one listen to that voice? By obeying Christ's "commandments"? Well, that's a start, because, as my Lord is recorded to have said:

“If anyone loves me, he will observe my word..." John 14:23

And we DO have such "word" as "love God"... "love your neighbor"... "love one another"... "love your enemy"..."forgive one another"... "stop judging"... "be merciful"... "release"... etc. And things like them. We all know these, even if we don't always do them. But there are couple/few OTHERS that most do NOT listen to... indeed, are not even AWARE of (existing, let alone applying to them) and so do NOT do, the PRIMARY one being:

"KEEP DOING THIS... in remembrance of me."

That, dear one... is a COMMAND. And what is the command that we are to "keep doing"? My Lord is recorded to have said:

"This means my body which is to be given in YOUR behalf. Keep doing this in remembrance of me.”Also, the cup in the same way... he saying: “This cup means the new covenant by virtue of my blood, which is to be poured out in YOUR behalf." Luke 22:19, 20

But that's only for an elite few, right? Wrong. My Lord is ALSO recorded to have said:

“I am the bread of life.Y OUR forefathers ate the manna in the wilderness and yet died. This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that anyone may eat of it and not die.I am the living bread that came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread he will live forever; and, for a fact, the bread that I shall give is my flesh in behalf of the life of the world.” John 6:48-51

    He also said:

"Unless YOU eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, YOU have no life in yourselves. He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has everlasting life, and Ishall resurrect him at the last day..." John 6:53

And before he even instituted the covenant that allows for such resurrection and everlasting life, he said:

"Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” John 13:8

He made this last statement just before he instituted yet another "commandment." Speaking to his disciples, he said:

Do YOU know what I have done to YOU? Y OU address me, ‘Teacher,’ and, ‘Lord,’ and YOU speak rightly, for I am such. Therefore, if I, although Lord and Teacher, washed YOUR feet, YOU also ought to wash the feet of one another. For I set the pattern for YOU , that, just as I did to YOU , YOU should do also. Most truly I say to YOU , A slave is not greater than his master, nor is one that is sent forth greater than the one that sent him. If YOU know these things, happy YOU are if YOU do them.I am not talking about all of YOU ; I know the ones I have chosen." John 13:12-18

Most try to get around this particular command, rationalizing that it is "symbolic" and so it manifest in other ways, but not in literally washing one another's feet. I promise you, that is false: the very act not only symbolizes humility, but it manifests our love... and humility... in the sight of one another. It's perpetuates the TRUTH that none of us is greater than the other, but rather ALL... are SERVANTS of one another... just as our Lord and Teacher made HIMSELF a servant... to us. By what he teaches us... did for us in giving his life... and will yet do. It REMINDS us that "he that is great among you MUST be least among you."

And what is the benefit of keeping these "commandments"? My Lord himself, again, gave us that information:

    One...

"He that feeds on my flesh and drinks my bloodremains in union with me, and I in union with him.Just as the living Father sent me forth and I live because of the Father, he also that feeds on me, even that one will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. It is not as when YOUR forefathers ate and yet died. He that feeds on this bread will live forever.” John 6:56-58

    Two...

"Remain in union with me, and I in union with YOU. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, in the same way neither can YOU , unless YOU remain in union with me. I am the vine, YOU are the branches. He that remains in union with me, and I in union with him, this one bears much fruit; because apart from me YOU can do nothing at all. If anyone does not remain in union with me, he is cast out as a branch and is dried up; and men gather those branches up and pitch them into the fire and they are burned. If YOU remain in union with meand my sayings remain in YOU, ask whatever YOU wish and it will take place for YOU." John 15:4-7

    Three...

"He that has my commandments and observes them, that one is he who loves me. In turn he that loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and will plainly show myself to him" (i.e., such ones would BEHOLD him!). John 14:21

When Judas, not Iscariot, asked him HOW it was that he would show himself plainly to those he loves... but not to the world, my Lord is recorded to have said:

“If anyone loves me, he will observe my word, and my Father will love him, and we shall come to him and make our abode IN him." John 14:23

Now, many Bible versions state this verse as God and Christ making their "abode" (dwelling place) WITH one... or near/beside one. That is a LIE. Such ones are the TEMPLE OF GOD... and the Most Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies... resides... dwells... IN HIS TEMPLE. (1 Corinthians 3:16; Romans 8:9-11; Psalm 11:4; Acts 2:3, 4; Exodus 13:21, 22; 40:33-38; Psalm 78:14; )

And what is the RESULT of that in-dwelling? By means of holy spirit... the BLOOD/life force... of the Most Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies... which "blood" is passed THROUGH to God's SONS... the Most Holy One of Israel... SPEAKS to such ones... through His Word:

"... the blood [of sprinkling], which speaks in a better way than Abel’s [blood]." Hebrews 12:24

"God, who long ago spoke on many occasions and in many ways to our forefathers by means of the prophets, [in these last days SPEAKS] to us by means of a Son..." Hebrews 1:1, 2

It is through that "blood"... holy spirit... and OUR blood... that we communicate with the Most Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies... through Christ. For the kingdom... IS INSIDE YOU... you, who are the temple of JAH. And it is from inside you... inside your blood... that God speaks, through Christ. You can "hear" Him... all the way inside your bones. For the LIFE/SOUL/SPIRIT... is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11)... and in the bones (Ezekiel 37:4-10)

It was into Adhams BONES that the Most Holy One of Israel blew His life force... His spirit... long before Adham ever had a "garment" (i.e., "robe" - at that time, a "unclean," "blemished," "befouled" robe)... of skin. (Genesis 2:7; 3:21; Zechariah 3:3-7 - note, "Joshua" is "JAHESHUA," my Lord, who is the Holy One and High Priest of Israel, my Lord, who Zechariah witnesses having his "unclean" flesh replaced with a "white robe"... flesh without corruption in it... the clean "outer garment"!)

It is not merely having faith Christ, dear one... but EXERCISING faith in him... and in the powers of his flesh and blood. Because without these two... the manna from heaven, which is the "leaves" from the Tree [of Life] that Christ IS... and the "living water"... holy spirit... which is his BLOOD and comes from Him, the Rock-Mass... none of it matters. Without these, one can no longer be "in union" with Christ... and thus, KNOW him (by means of such union)... or be known BY Him.

Which is EXACTLY what the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society of... whatever they call themselves today... wants to occur. They are the ONLY ones who RESTRICT people FROM that "food" and "drink"... by teaching a FALSE doctrine that only a few elite should partake of it, in direct opposition to what Christ himself said. By DOING this, they... "shut UP the kingdom of the heavens before men."

They are false christs (anointed)... and false prophets... and their MAIN purpose for existing is the "will" of THEIR father... our Adversary, Satan the Devil... "to mislead IF POSSIBLE... EVEN the chosen ones."

The kingdom cannot be "in your midst/inside you"... if you are NOT in union with Christ. For he cannot COME... and make his abode IN you... until the INSIDE of your "cup"... has been "cleansed." And, no, unlike so many teach (because they misapply my Lord's words to the Pharisees to "cleanse the inside of the cup"... one cannot cleanse one's own cup. One can only PREPARE such cup... FOR cleansing. But as my Lord is recorded to have said:

"Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.”

He does not KNOW you... and you are, still, unclean.

I bid you peace... and ears to hear... when the Spirit and the Bride say to YOU:

"Come! Take 'life's water'... the blood and life force of the Most Holy One of Israel, JAH of Armies, which blood/life force is His holy spirit... which spirit is poured out from the innermost parts of His Son and Christ, the Holy One of Israel and Holy Spirit, my Lord, JAHESHUA MISCHAJAH... from whom comes the invitation to DRINK... free!"

Your servant, servant to the Household of God, Israel, and all those who go with that "House"... and a slave of Christ,

    Ok, here's a few I noticed:

Mathew 5:1-3. Jesus is not speaking to a few selected ones. He speaks to the CROWDS. In fact, apparently, he had to climb a mountain so they could ALL see & hear him:

    Matthew 5:1-3 (New International Version)

    Matthew 5
    The Beatitudes

1 Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2 and he began to teach them saying:
3 "Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. ______________________________________

This scripture popped out at me because many jw's like to pray in resturants so that everyone sees them and thinks what a fantastic example they are setting:

    Matthew 6:6 (New International Version)

6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Once again, Jesus speaks to the crowds as he says this:

    Matthew 7:21 (New International Version)

21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
