For many of us, we still have loved ones in that organization. It's hard to stop loving your spouse, child, parent, best friend, etc... who are still in. In many ways, this keeps us attached to this site. We come here for the understanding that we cannot find anywhere else. Surely, you must understand that. It's analogical to many sites for survivors that have lost/losing someone due to a horrible disease, drug, or death; or a recovery from abuse site. It's a support site and a recovery site.
Some will need it more than others. In the beginning of your recovery, people may need it intensively. Your rape analogy makes no sense in this regard. No we won't go to the Watchtower for help to recover. That's crazy. You want to be around people that have been through what you're going through. Try reading the News article below on what rape victims most often need for healing. Maybe then, you'll understand this site.
