Go to www.foodgawker.com then type in Ginger in the Keyword search box. You can leave the next box as "all categories" or click the drop down and dial it in a bit. Just did it and there are pages and pages of ginger recipes with photos.

It's a great site. My wife and I love it. Hope it helps.

Im actually vegetarian, so I substitute tofu for chicken and use vegetable boullion instead of chicken boullion. AND I just discovered that they have grated ginger so you dont have to figure it out for yourself. Just a little goes a LONG way. good luck

As in Gingerbread Men, Gingerbread houses, and so on???

Here's a "Betty Crocker" recipe that a little friend and I used, last winter, to make a gingerbread house:

1/2 cup shortening (I use real butter...)

1/2 cup sugar (I use raw cane sugar...)

1/2 cup dark molasses (I use the unsulphured version...)

    1/4 cup water (I used goat's milk...)

    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (I used the stone-ground-style whole wheat...)

    3/4 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon soda

    3/4 teaspoon ginger (dried)

    1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

    1/8 teaspoon allspice

Cream shortening and sugar. Blend in molasses, water, flour, salt, soda, ginger, nutmeg and allspice. Cover, chill 2 to 3 hours. Pre-heat oven to 375°. Roll dough 1/4" thick (I rolled to 1/2" thick...), cut with gingerbread-boy cutter, place on ungreased baking sheet (I oiled mine lightly with olive oil...)

Adding items like raisins, candied cherries and other candied fruits is optional at this point...

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, remove from baking sheet. Trim with Decorators' Icing if desired...

Wish I'd taken a picture of the gingerbread house... Zid
