If the bible is god's handbook for man, why is it such gobbledegook?

As a "proud atheist" you have already said there is no God so why ask question about Him?

The fact that you think that I am a “proud atheist” shows how gullible you are, so it’s no wonder you are a Christian.

PS. Just because I use a pic from a particular website doesn’t mean that’s what my particular beliefs are. If I used a pic from www.hugemaleappendage.com would that mean I am a male with a huge penis?

The fact is, the "pic" contained more than just an image of Christ but also some text.

As you didn't make any disagreement with the words you posted you obviously agree with them or else why post them?

    Stephen

Stephen, you called me a “proud atheist”.

Where did you get that idea?

I explained already, you posted some views from their site without comment, thus you obviously agree with them.

If you want to argue then I'm not your man. If you want to know the Holy Spirit and what He does then read the verses I posted.

    Blessings,

So Stephen, using your reasoning here, if I had posted an image from www.bigblackmen.com would that mean I am a large black male?

''Thats just the way it is''

sorry 'stephen' but that does not work for me, that is a massive cop out answer.

The 'holy spirit' that is conditional on asking for it so as to understand the encrypted message makes a mockery of the bible as a guide and an outline of the creators 'divine' plan as far i am concerned. This mythical power was not even mentioned till well into the writing of the canon of books we call the bible, so nobody until a certain date in history would even know of a plan let alone realize that the author expected people to have an invisible force in their head or heart in order to understand it.

It still makes no sense that 'god' made it so hard.

It says to me that he actually wanted and knew very few would 'get it' at all. And that in turn says that he did not intend the majority of mankind to realize what was going on. That in turn says then, that it is in fact NOT a plan for the ages nor a guide to mankind at all. AND THAT says its just a bunch of books considered holy by a bunch of wishful thinkers.

quoting passages from a book that i do not trust does not make me trust it ok?

    try some logic please

Aussie Oz The 'holy spirit' that is conditional on asking for it

That's not my experience, but this is

    Isaiah 65:1 (New International Version)

    Judgment and Salvation

    1 "I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me;
I was found by those who did not seek me.
To a nation that did not call on my name,
I said, 'Here am I, here am I.'

If you are sincere in wanting to know God, then suspend your disbelief and ask Him to show up a bit more often. Otherwise, He might put in an appearance once in a while saying "Here I am, here I am". God is live a lover, He doesn't force Himself on us, just woos us with some snippets of His beauty. If you like what you see, then pursue Him. If you prefer to mock those who have found Him then I'm out. Blessings, Stephen

The bible all points to Jesus and if you believe in Jesus you have eternal life.

    Keep it simple.

Its the best deal in town.

John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life.

You can take the gobbledegook and say it points to Jesus and eternal life.

Or you can take it and say there is no God.

No God no Peace. KNow God Know Peace.

Aussie Oz you said Very few would get it at all, and he did not intend for the majority of mankind to realize what was going on.

Thats pretty much what God said through the Apostle Paul in the book of Romans. So consider yourself blessed, now you know

you can either accept it or move on.

I dont think the evolutionist offer a better deal.

Let me clarify I have been out of the tower since 83, What I believe about God and Jesus is biblical and has nothing to do

    with the JW's.

    REad the new testament.

The old testament points to Jesus the New testament tells about Jesus.
