I still have a hard time with this one: centimeter
People in the medical community pronounce it son-a-meter.??? I still pronounce it cent-i-meter.
How do you pronounce perimeter?
Syl
perimeter = per-rim-eter

Here's someone's mistake I enjoyed: She is a died-in-the-woods witness. Ha! I wonder what this person thought that meant. Dyed-in-the-wool means inflexible, because, I assume, the dye is in the very fiber rather than the cloth being dyed after being woven.
So did I.
I won't tell how I pronounced Prometheus.

I've never heard err pronouncer 'ur.' I've always heard and said 'air'.
Is there an actual rule?
Or is it like schedule. (sk or sh)
