Wow, I am just so glad I did not become a witness but truth be told this kind of smug, superiority attitude is not limited to witnesses. There are zealots in any religion as well as holier than thou people in any group.

I agree with palmtree. The elders would be horrified at this letter. I'm not defending the WT, but this letter is the product of a sick and vengeful mind, even the WT is not this twisted.

I was wondering the same thing. As I've stated several times, Alice has some some serious psychological and/or emotional problems and will do anything to get attention. I'm not sure which is more pathetic: the idea that she sent such a letter to her aunt, or the idea that the whole scenario is nothing more than a figment of Alice's warped imagination.

Both sides to this is possible, but the letter does have the "judgemental JW Pharisee spirit" behind it regardless if Alice actually sent it or is just yanking our chains. If she is just making this up........that would be pretty warped to go onto an apostate website when the counsel is to not associate and then post made up JW lies. How could one claim to serve Jehovah and not think he would be displeased by this?

You just described the character of this discussion board very well because you can say that about anyone who posts family related issues as people do it all the time. Are you willing to say they are all possibly figments of a warped imagination (because there are some warped scenarios)? I can quickly generate list. Answer honestly or be labeled a pathetic liar.
