    LOL.

I heard tell of one old man who had a large, unworking freezer sitting outside in his back yard.

He filled it with WT's and Awakes - just in case.

If that is in response to what I wrote, this is Alabama.

You'll find all sorts of rusted out, unusable stuff sitting in yards around these parts.

I don't know why he thought "persecutors" wouldn't look in the freezer.

    Crazy.

    Yep.

I knew of an elder who when remodeling his bathroom, hid a bible and some other lit in the wall, then drywalled it up so that a quick kick and they could have 'waters of life' before running out to the woods to survive persecution. [That was prob 1972 or 73].

I stayed at an elderly sister's home while I pioneered right out of high-school. One of our 'projects' in the summer of '73 was to fashion a waterproof container filled with bibles and literature, then bury it directly away from a shed in the yard so many paces.

I imagine both 'stashes' are still there. The old sister is long since dead. The elder is well into his 80's. And they moved decades ago to another location.

    How stupid were we? God!

    Oh my.....

    I don't remember 1974..... .

But I do remember some of 1975......the only hidey-hole I for lit I remember was my sandbox in plastic bags.

Gosh, the craziness of that period ......

I wonder just how much stuff like that affects me subconsciously....... I mean that is not normal!

In the early 90's I was convinced that the big a was coming before I ever got married.

Our coffee table had big square hollow legs. I stashed mags in there. I taped them to the sides. I also had a picture with a paper backing. so I carefully cut the backing and slipped mags in there, and taped it back up. Boy was I prepared. I eventually had a garage sale of those items. I never removed those stashes. I wonder if the new owner ever did.

I was at Bethel and I stashed away a lot of beer! As Bro. Sydlick would say - "Bring your own bottle"! Don't leave home without it!
