    Wow Mindfield!!!

Very cool. Coming from your 13 year old brother, this is bound to cause a stir!

You did a GREAT JOB. If nothing else, it will make the School Overseer think twice before assigning such age-inappropriate material to younger ones. In fact, it may even make him check over the readings before giving assignments. I love it.

Dites-nous qu'est ce qui va passer!

Hey, thanks Scully! My brother just read it over yesterday, and although he was a bit hesitant, I think he's going to read it. I mean, there's nothing in this "talk" that goes against logic, is there? I can't see why someone would absolutely want a preteen to hear this stuff.

So, je vais te dire ce qui va se passer, although I'll probably won't record it. Too much fuss, and people will frown. So I'll ask my brother to tell me the reaction.

Come to think about it, what's worse, is that he's going to give the talk in the second hall. You know, the small one in the back? True, there's less people, but the counsellor in there is one ..... well, I'll restrain myself. But he's very... harsh. I know he'll HATE this talk, and probably he'll add something non-committal at the end to "correct" my brother's "viewpoint". If only I were there... sigh.

    Don't worry, SYN! He'll stand his ground! I think...:-/

We could all hold hands and hope that the person giving it in the main hall bails....

Well, brought this back up to the top to tell you guys some developments... my brother isn't really sure he wants to do the talk anymore! Aaaah, nuts. He's scared he'll get... reactions which he won't enjoy.

Do you have any suggestions for encouraging him to go through with this non-conformist talk?

    j,
He's just a kid, so cut him some slack. When he is ready he will step out in his own way. Just being willing to discuss his feelings with you about leaving takes lots of courage.
Hope eveything is going well for you.
