What did he/she do?Did you cover it up?Were the elders ever informed?I know a JW friend who gambled a few times and never told the BOE,neither did I.
Do you know any JW's who commited a 'sin' in the past but never confessed it to the elders?

Yes, it's called being discreet. Something that isn't really taught in the bOrg.

Like, all of them?

If you consider that jws are supposed to be concerned what god sees and he sees everything; wouldn't jws be more concerned about being executed by god?

I have. I'm so glad I never told the elders anything. Back when I was in, and considered myself a christian, I followed the scriptures when it came to confessing my sins. I prayed to "god" and asked forgiveness based on christs' ransom sacrifice. The elders did not figure in to that equation at all.

I knew of a JW girl who had a summer-long affair with my nonJW friend. She never confessed..and ended up moving on to marrying a JW. I was no longer attending then, and never said anything.

Hm... should I mention my own unconfessed "sins" on this thread, or those of my friends? I mind my own business and encourage others to do the same. Live and let live.

Nothing is more dangerous than a friend without discretion; even a prudent enemy is preferable.
