As my pastor said, it is one of the things that JWs actually get right (well half-right)!

    Revelation 21:2-3 (New International Version)

2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.

Yes, if a believer dies they go the heaven 2 Corinthians 5:8 , Luke 23:43. However, it is clear that the Holy City does not stay up there forever.

    Blessings, Stephen

I think for a short while my jw thought he may go to heaven but the elders quickly straightened him out about that. Drives him crazy when I tell him, " I know where I'm going!" Drives him equally crazy when other people say they are not going and will choose to remain a ghost and travel about for awhile first!

I think paradise earth is bogus.

I believe humans have the power to make it a reality. But as far as the white-horse-sword-out-of-mouth-jesus-kill-all-on-earth-except-jws paradise earth, no.

Wherever we're going, we will have new bodies. Our old bodies are likened to tents or tabernacles.

Philippians 1:22 -23 As long as I'm alive in this body, there is good work for me to do. If I had to choose right now, I hardly know which I'd choose. Hard choice! The desire to break camp here and be with Christ is powerful. Some days I can think of nothing better. MSG

Heaven knows I could use a new body - this one is like a prison!

Some theologians (i.e. N.T. Wright) are positing that the New Heavens and the New Earth are one and the same. That is, Paradise - which dubs long for - IS Heaven. The argument is that this view is closest aligned with the theological landscape of the early Christians.

My take? As long as you're in the presence of Christ, what does it matter?

And denying anyone communion because you're on the wrong side of a bogus two-class distinction is totally unscriptural... and flat-out antichrist.

Really Truly Absolutley..... I believed in the Paradise and looked forward to that day when we would be free from Satan's World....only for 1000 yrs then Satan would be let loose so he could finish his Job..... then maybe......... I'd make it and then be free from Satan.

Never understood letting Satan run wild again.

    Today.... I'll help Satan LOL
