Congrats on discovering the power of invisibility! My wife and I have had this power for a few years now, and life couldn't be better! Enjoy!

    TROUBLED MIND,

What you should have done when you sat down was whisper to your husband then the both of you start laughing OUT LOUD. This would make the idiots wonder what you said about them - and it would show that your husband is your FRIEND (as he well should be). It is a wrong thing for this religion to try to drive a wedge between two married people. It is pathetic how they go out of their way and make it obvious they are not saying hello to YOU.

I wonder, however, if these same JWs would expect you to help them if they fell down or were in some trouble. Would they expect their phony brotherhood to kick in when it is convenient for them?

Believe me, their opinion is worth less than nothing.

This makes me so bloody angry to hear about them separating you from your husband in this way...disgraceful.

ZID ...thank you I love being sparkely in fact I love it so much I want to share with everyone on my block (including the six witness families just how Sparkely I can be ! )

Seriously , thank you all for being so supportive . I really didn't think this incident got to me .....but of course it hurts ....this couple use to be considered some of our BEST friends .. I have always treated hurt by laughing it off or making a joke ,but deep down hurt is hurt . I guess that sends the wrong message to my husband ,maybe this would be a good time to have a heart to heart talk about how I really feel .

You brought back funny memories for me. When hubby and I used to go out and eat many times the waitress would walk right past us no matter what we did to get attention. Finally we made a joke out of it and decided to play invisible..each time they would just walk by us we would just giggle and play like we were invisible.. Believe it or not this would get their attention.

I guess they thought we were laughing at them.

We used to like to brag about being"'invisible".

Actually though, after I left the JW religion I would run into a witness at a fast food place or market. I would just walk by them as they would be trying to act like they didn't see me anyway. Shortly after that we moved an hour away. We no longer ran into any of them. I recommend it to all..

I'm sorry they got to you, but it makes me angry....... You should have got in their face and be as nice as anything and say HI, ITS SO NICE TO SEE YOU. They are so weak.

I think it was rude and ridiculous of them to ignore them, but come and say hello to your husband. I agree with Serenity - let him know how that makes you feel - their shunning and his smirking about it. You don't have to be mad, just a calm statement, and then leave it at that. Best way to get him to think about it, I think.

    I also like Wasblind's t-shirt idea :) A lot.

Well their you go with the Witnesses breaking up families, they are the true proponants of anti-family values. In this case I think you were the one who lucked out, who wants to talk to an elder.
