I'm a big fan of Willie Nelson and Blue Rodeo, so I have no bias, but I think the Blue Rodeo version is better.

Ooops, I misspoke, Rodney Crowell wrote this song and Emmy Lou Harris first released it. Here's one of him singing it. I think he's a better songwriter than performer because its pretty lackluster.
