What upsets me is that because they emotionalize it, they are able to fool so many people. Even those with doubts can listen to these songs and start thinking, "Maybe I'm wrong." Emotionalism is a pretty powerful tool.

Seriously, throw some cold water on me!!! I think I get upset because I grew up with these songs. My mom put me to bed with kingdom melodies when I was a baby. I was to view them as so sacred, that I couldn't even come up with a different arrangement of them on my guitar when I was a teenager. I would go to the assemblies and the songs would play and I'd end up getting chills because I KNEW this was God's organization. If I was feeling discouraged, I'd listen to the kingdom melodies. Me and my pioneer partner would listen to them when we were out in service (in between listening to nofx and lagwagon).
And they are doing the same thing to the next generation of kids. It really bothers me.

Sorry, ranting again...
I wonder what all of the molestation victims of the WT would think about song # 123?

I bet they sound like dying cats or cult chants even when "professionally" sung. They are designed so they sound horrible when sung perfectly according to the directions, so the flock can be made to feel badly about their singing even when it's actually the songs themselves. And I don't see any reason to waste my hard drive space and electricity storing this sxxx when there is always going to be one person to do so out of curiosity and report how wretched the songs sound or how they glorify the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger.
I think I will stick with 50 Cent and Christmas songs.
