I find it interesting to note that the new members of the GB fall into the category of younger members of the remnant. I wonder how their partaking of th emblems was receievd in their local congregations!

I find it fascinating to think of the term "genuine" partakers. After all, who alone can judge? Certainly no-one on earth. I can recall having this debate many times over the years as an elder and it always was resolved by appealing to the 'works' of the individual i.e. salavation by works, not by grace.

The number of the anointed has been in the 10,000 to 8,500 mark for decades and the magority that I've know have been elderly.

The WT says the new claimers are replacements, for those that didn't make their calling. So "IF" that is true,.. then most the anointed who have died must not have been faithful and didn't make their calling.

If someone lived a trillion X longer than you, and had a billion X more reasoning ability would he come to the same conclusions as you?

I love the phrase "genuine anointed".

That's like someone thinking that they are the "real" spiderman.

What I never understood is this:
pre-1935, "Anointed" was the only classification of JW, whether you were 8 or 80 years old. Post 1935, whenever someone new made the claim of being one of the anointed they were viewed as replacements for one of the "originals" who had died unfaithful. Numerous WT articles make the statement that any of these "replacement" anointed would most likely come from among those who have served faithfully for MANY YEARS. Why would that be the case, if as I said, you could have been 8 years old and considered "anointed" pre-1935 ??? Yet another WT riddle. Anybody know if they ever tried to explain this?

Since so many have had to be "replaced", this must be one of the most unfaithful group you could ever gather.

Interesting that Jesus said: "I know my sheep, and my sheep know me".

    Another WTS riddle perhaps?

Nothing like having an abusive husband make you want to become the Bride of Christ.
