So if a muslim became a Christian, do they cease to be muslim?

That depends upon one's personal beliefs. Some people (Ann Redding/Episcopal priest/defrocked) see no conflict between the two and claim to be both Christian and Muslim.

Tec, not to put the spotlight on you, but you really didn't know that?

No, Misery, I really didn't know that... and possibly because I have heard of Christian/Muslim people.

"More than four-in-ten Catholics in the United States (45%) do not know that their church teaches that the bread and wine used in Communion do not merely symbolize but actually become the body and blood of Christ."

    That number surprised me.

Ya know, that is fascinating. Please forgive me if my question came off elitist or condescending. I'm not remotely looking down on you, so please pardon me if it came off that way. Its just when I read your post I wondered to myself how many others are thinking the same? How much of that contributes to ill relations between this country and the Middle East?

Infinitely less than Hamas teaching children that Jews use the blood of Muslims in making their food.

Infinitely less than monsters blowing themselves and others up "for Allah".

It didn't. Not at all. I think its funny that I 'bragged' about how well I did on the quiz, and then didn't know that :) I'm not sure how this misunderstanding contributes to tensions with the middle east, though, unless you were meaning that our (people who thought as I did) ignorance about them would annoy them?

Leaving, I am not surprised that you scored a hundred percent. If all the questions are the same, I had absolutely no idea what the last question was even referring to.

Really goes to show us all that agnostics and atheist really do their research and people of faith take it on faith without knowledge.

And 21% of atheists say they believe in God.

    That number surprised me.

It shouldn't, RC are notorious for accepting the "unexplainable" if told to.

The whole "transsubstation" or whatever it is called is NOT view like that by the vast majority og RC, they view the "wafer and wine" as symbols of Chirst's presence and very few see them as the ACTUAL "flesh and blood" of Christ.
