No, Randy. That was only 1,200 BYTES per second. My first modem was 300 baud. If you compared a 300 baud transmission with someone typing, it would be the equivalent of a screen refreshing at about the speed of someone who can only type 25 words per minute!

80Mbps down, 20Mbps up, 5ms ping.
In reality I get 75 down and 18 up - according to www.speedtest.net .
The limiting factor is the servers I connect to - if they are busy I don't get any faster than someone with a slow connection.
Speed is most noticeable on larger downloads (pdf's, music, etc) when the downloading bar just races across the screen.
I'd be happy with 20mpbs or higher, that is enough for my needs.
