Last night I went to Caltech to Listen to Mr Dawkins. What a most pleasant man to listen. Intelligent, assertive, witty, funny. Nothing close to how people or critics portray him.
It was better than any talk at any convention :-)

I 've seen soem clips of him behind the scenes at some debates and such and he seems like a real nice guy, very pleasant and cool.
His debate with McGrath on youtube, the one that is unedited and shows them talking between takes, is very cool.
Why he comes up with controversial stuff like the "brights" crap, is beyond me, unless he likes controversy of course ;)

I'd love to go to one of his lectures. I've got The God Delusion and The Greatest Show on Earth as audiobooks. He narrates, along with his wife, Lalla Ward. I could listen to him for hours.
