I doubt today if a speaker were to say the things like this apathetic delusional asshole
was saying he might be arrested for publicly stirring up fearful hysteria.
I was there during those times and during the International Assemblies of 1969 and they were hyping up this BS
to the extreme , of course there was a new book ( Babylon the Great has Fallen ) to give more information on to this
imminent world disaster.
Sadly this provocative fear mongering that was mostly thwarted to further push the circulation of the WTS books,
pushed some people to commit suicide. I know of at least 3 youths and 1 adult in a span of about 4 to 5 years to do just that.
One young fellow hung himself in a garage behind are Kingdom Hall, he's related to my older brother through marriage.
The other fact that is and its hardly recognized is the calculated date that the WTS used to derive the fall of 1975 as 6000
years from the existence of Adam was a FRAUD of the worst, as its impossible for anyone to accurately date this time frame by
use of the bible or other means. It was all a maligning dishonest but intensional fraud to spur followers of the WTS to buy and sell
more of their books. Retrospectively both corrupt and perhaps criminal .

Our official beliefs are in black and white for all too read from 1900's onwards, this is not one of them.
WTS official beliefs are in B&W from 1900's onward? Do you realize what you just said here?
P.S. The JW 1975 hysteria was more real than most JW flip flop doctrines in B&W. The WTS was in full cult mode and glory then.

Like I said if 1975 was an official Armageddon teaching it would be quite definitely in the magazines but it isn't. Trust me, If 1975 was the ex-Jws would be SCREAMING it out on this site. Like I said 1975 is only referenced slighty and definitely not officially as an Armageddon date.

In this twentieth century an independent study has been carried on that does not blindly follow some traditional chronological calculations of Christendom, and the published timetable resulting from this independent study gives the date of man's creation as 4026 B.C.E. According to this trustworthy Bible chronology six thousand years from man's creation will end in 1975, and the seventh period of a thousand years of human history will begin in the fall of 1975 C.E. So in not many years within our own generation we are reaching what Jehovah God could view as the seventh day of man's existence. It would not be by mere chance or accident but would be according to the loving purpose of Jehovah God for the reign of Jesus Christ, the 'Lord of the Sabbath,' to run parallel with the seventh millennium of man's existence."
