They are always more interested in the legal ramifications of something they may teach then the sheep under their care. It's almost funny how they are constantly looking over their shoulders to see if anyone is watching.
Maybe they should stop doing things they should be ashamed of, and they wouldn't have to print instructions like this.

There is no good reason for the "elder's manual" to be kept secret.
Also, if the new book is copyrighted, wouldn't there be a copy deposited at The Library of Congress?

How sad that sisters are put on the same level as "unbelievers" WOW!
It is mostly women that are so faithful to this cult too. There always more women than men. That really sucks for sisters- they work so hard and they are so submissive....Yet they are counted "worthless" among these brooklyn men...

If this is true, then, speaking as a mermaid, it's been a long time since I've seen anything so blatantly offensive. Are they for friggin' real??? This is over the top paranoia, even for the WTS. If any sister has any doubt about how the WTS views her gender, then this, coupled with the latest "Couples Only" school, should be a clincher. Women, what are they good for? Preachin' door to door, cookin', cleanin' and layin'...
Yknot, I'm not doubting you and I appreciate you posting this, but I would really like to see a scan...

Re: Spiral binding of Shepherding textbook
Dear Brothers:
Since the release of the new Shepherding textbook, several elders have asked about the possibility of having their textbook spiral bound. There is no objection if an elder personally spi-ral binds or laminates his own textbook or does so for other elders. If he has another baptized brother who is not an elder do the work for him, the elder must watch while the work is being done. Outside companies, unbelievers, or sisters are not permitted to do this work. The material in the book is confidential, and confidentiality must be preserved.
Each elder should make the following notation next to the box on the title page of the Shepherding textbook: “See letter dated October 7, 2010, to all bodies of elders regarding spiral binding of this textbook.”
