Good point, dear SBC (peace to you!), but at least if these were allowed/taught/encouraged to actually READ the books they put their faith in... rather than following those who tell them what's supposedly in them (while adding to and leaving out a whole lot of stuff!)... they might not be misled into doing some of the silly stuff folks say such books sanction. Like dropping bombs on children, old people, and women, or blowing themselves up while taking others with them, or allowing children to be used in various forms of slave labor as well as allowing their fellowmen to starve... all in the name of the particular "god"... or book... they worship.
Mind you, I did say "might" not. Such things are in those books... but sometimes things that go opposite are, too. And when one has the ability to CHOSE, one just "might" chose NOT to do the silly stuff.
