A Desirable Bethel 'Palace Coup'

The moment is ripe for a 'palace coup' at Bethel/Paterson.

The organization is sinking into deepening trouble. Damaging
leaks are occuring - everyone's loyalty is becoming suspect.

Are there no real men left at Bethel? Are they all obsequious
little toadies licking the boots of their masters? Are they all
    emasculated and craven?

Well, if they are, an imaginative brother could use his authority
to command such unthinking lackeys - to quickly accuse and depose
any who act as obstacles - OR SEND OUT SECRET DOCUMENTS TO THE
INTERNET IN THE NAME OF THE OBSTRUCTIONISTS - thereby 'neutralizing'
    them.

If you are lurking here from Bethel, think about how stupid
the Society's LACK OF RESPONSE IS! A good, solidly managed company
will "get ahead' of any coming scandals. Good management is
proactive, not just reacting to every crisis that happens along.

How much logic does it take to see they headed into a brick wall
on blood and child molestation? Does anyone at headquarters
have the testosterone of a Rutherford so as to put an end to this
pathetic drift towards disaster? or will we see a bottomless
spiral downward led by cowards and sycophants?

    Here's my rant:
Absolutely, the GB are cowardly, sniveling, little dickless Bastards! The local elders reflect their leadership perfectly too! I would spit on the GB right now if I could. Hey, feel a road trip to Brooklyn coming on? I think it was only Franz (Ray) who actually realized the full scope his influence as a GB member would have on the average R & F. I think because he actually had a lot of living in the "real" world under his belt before even going to Bethel. If you read about the rest of the GB's life stories, most of them started at Bethel while in their teens or early twenties. They are completely, self-anointed, self-important, self-centered, self-absorbed.
They make me sick, they KNOW what they are doing (the cover ups prove it). I HATE everything they stand for.. want a good laugh, look again at their photos in the Proclaimers book..you'll want to puke when you see their smug little faces staring back at you off the page.
    Later, thanks for reading.

"Bottomless spiral downward"? Sounds like oral sex. You do know that this sort of thing is being actively discussed on other posts.

I hope you are right. However, they seem to survive, somehow.

The Palace Coup actually took place in 1997, when they realized that the decrease all over the industrialized world, had come to be. The Coupmakers was the Information-service.

I think they may suffer from an inability to see that their tried and true defense, disfellowshiping, doesn't work anymore. They are stonewalling, dissembling and spinning their way around the situation as though those who disagree can easily be cut off, no longer able to influence the thinking of the rank and file. It used to work, but the net has changed that. We don't go away, we organize rather than be isolated and, as a result, neutralized. If they wake up fast, they probably have time to keep things afloat with a minimum of change. If they they don't adapt to the new way things are done, they'll most likely run into serious problems down the road.

I always find it fascinating how they eventually find ways around "absolute" biblical laws.

They will do the same in this situation... or perhaps there will be another split among the congregations. One group will continue to follow all "absolute" biblical laws, while another becomes more liberal.

Perhaps this is closer than may have imagined!
