  Petrifaction has set in to such a degree that little change is possible. Men in their late 80s and 90s have lost quite a few brain cells; circulation has diminished markedly, memory has faded and their ability to entertain new concepts is virtually non-existent. So, don’t expect anything new from the GB.

  Can lower level heavies initiate significant change? Doubtful, until and unless the time is just right and enough heavies join together to become an irresistible force. Hopefully, by the time any chance takes place, many will have already abandoned this murderous ship.

  SamBeli: Please don't forget the majority is now NOT in their 80s or 90s, but in their 50s thru 70s, and so the health situation today is not as it was 5 years ago. Roesch and the four new ones are close to have a majority, and there are only a couple of the "real oldies" left.

  It may well be that as to say the current crop of Bethelites is ``more loyal than ever''... but to whom, or to what? To the organization, that's what, which effectively means ``to each other.'' Like tent poles, they stand by propping each other up, and continue to play together, making beautiful sounds just like the orchestra on the deck of the Titanic.
  
  What does any of the mutual reinforcement of their solipcism and narrow-mindedness prove as they unitedly turn a collective deaf ear to alternative views? Nothing, other than their determination to go down together. I mean, when have they ever in their history been right about anything?

  It will be an interesting celebration on Columbia Heights when they gather to honor The Centenary of the Kingdom's Birth in another 12 years or so. I'm sure you'll be a guet of honor.

  One line of thought could be that this is in line with what they have ingrained in every JW out there. Remember when we were in there, how many times did we hear that in the end that Jehovah's True Worshippers would be turned against? Is it possible that instead of trying to diffuse these situations they are sitting at their big long table trying to make it look like this is what was peophesied? I mean if you are backed in a corner wouldn't you yell out that this is what the Bible said would happen?
