Elders are getting dumber and many of them were interpreting the text of the old book in ways that "mother" didn't intend. So they had to dumb it down and make it more direct. The next edition will be at the level of "Fun with Dick and Jane... porneia drawings included"

The Governing Body refers to the board of directors, doesn't it? And the "officers" run the corporation - but they don't own it. None of them own it - it is, as was mentioned it's own legal individual - as recently determined by the Supreme Court - so the WTBS could even contribute to political campaigns if they wanted...

I was told that everything in the manual could be found in the publications. Do you know where to find where it says that staying overnight with someone of the opposite sex is proof of fornication or adultery? You have to look hard.

I agree. There was very little about being loving and sheparding. It concentrated on regulation and establishing guilt!
