Well there is the proof that the wide columns are for them to add their hand written notes.

Seems too that teven they realize that their books are obsolete almost before everyone gets a copy

    Great points OTWO and LL!!

I am seriously 'musing' that the reason the new KS is soft cover is because they know they won't be keeping it as long as the ks91! Not to mention that anyone with a new song book can tell ya that we are all going to need to replace them sometime late 2011 or 2012.... especially those of us with kids!

Literature isn't what they make their money on..... it is just a control venue now.....and they know we dont' study or pay attention like before but rather just get buzzed over a 'new' release! ......cuz going to a DC with no release is like going to B-day party without getting a little take home goodie bag!

To save monet the WT$ should just print books with the offences listed, then have bullet points underneath that they can tick (with pencil) weekly or monthly, according to new light received like this---

    • Disfellowshipping offence
    • Public reproval offence
    • severe telling off offence
    • Loss of privileges
    • Loss of testicles
    • Light spank on the bare bottom with watchtower

Or, in the case of the Proclaimers' Book, dear Lady L (peace to you!)... for them to include their false propaganda. If anyone has the time, just thumb through that publication and read the margin statements. You don't even need to read the text to "see" the message they were trying to present. The word of my Lord to me is that they created this book to respond to accusations that they were invalid and nothing more than a cult by various governments (particularly Germany, Russia, France, and Mexico). In many instances, what's in the margins directly contradicts what's in the text. Why? Because although they encouraged members to read the text (and so be "impressed" with who they were and where they came from), they were COUNTING on those investigating them and the religion to merely thumb through and read the marginal comments.

One good example can be found on page ___ (I will get back with the page number, unless someone beats me to it) where they state in the margin in some words that they (well, Russell) were "not establishing an earthly organization." Yet, everyone who's ever been a part of them know that they ABSOLUTELY teach that they ARE God's "earthly organization." Thus, in the text on page 219, they refer to a resolution they made wherein they STATES that the Society IS "the visible representation of the Lord on earth." Although that "representation" ended... with the destruction of THE visible representation... the temple at Jerusalem.

Another very interesting thing about that publication is the 25 PAGES OF REAL ESTATE HOLDINGS... including megamillion properties all over the world... set forth in the middle pages. And that was, what, almost 20 years ago? And sure, although properties have been sold since then, others have been purchased. Even so, all of those owned at that time have increased in value... some by additional megamillions.

So what? So, can any imagine Christ owning all of this property, indeed, being in any way connected to it... he who had NOWHERE to even lay his head? To the contrary, I recall another showing him "all the kingdoms of the earth"... which would include quite a bit of real estate... and offering those TO him... and him rejecting them. All of them, en totale.

This really is one of those things that [should] make one go, "hmmmmm"...

Again, I bid you all peace.

Can we add the following to the "list", dear OLNS (peace to you!)?

    • Will be ignored by CO offence (when calling upon him to intervene because "certain men" have called a ridiculously unscriptural JC meeting which they will use to trump up false "charges" against you)
    • Must ride in Sister Pioneer/Brother Elder So-and-So's car group for a month (heck, for a day) offence
    • Will be called at last minute and must prepare for "part" on... well, whatever "parts" they have these days... offence

What kinds of "offences" would result in such sentences? Well, let's see...

    • Didn't give CO a "blue" envelope (or prepare his favorite meal when he visited your house)
    • Really think CO's wife is an empty-headed ditz (or pretends she is) and so don't offer to "work" in field service with her
    • Asked Book Study (okay, PO, Service Overseer, and/or School Overseer) a valid "Bible" question which they couldn't answer and so took offence

As you can guess the list can go on... and I don't have a great deal to do today - !

    Peace to you!

Ahh the first of many updates, changes and clarifications. The Governing Body must be huddled in the inner chambers with a direct line of light connecting them to Jerhoovor and Hayzooce so they can get the message to the gloryass princes of the earth the elders.

Question, are there only 12 chapters to the STFOG book?
