The best (& the worst) Halloween candy?

    Worst: Candy corn.

Best: I am a big fan of foreign candy bars. Curly Wurlies are my favorite, as they are reminiscent of the old 1970s Marathon Bar and they transport me back in time to first grade. I also like Cherry Ripe, Crunchie (or Violet Crumble), Maltesers, and Picnic.

Other than that, give me non-choco candies. Anything from Wonka (Nerds!), Sweet tarts (love the chewy ones), Star burst, gummi bears, Jelly Bellies, etc.

I know the worst. One year when I was about 10 I spent Halloween in town with a JW friend. When the trick or treaters came (by the hundreds) we would open the door and say here's something better than candy! And hand them the latest Awake... We were thrilled because we placed scores of mag's that night. The next morning we got to pick up all the Awakes off the lawn. And place them again!

I prefer the Hershey family of candies, along with some of the Mars candies like M&M's. Raisins, I'll pass.

And, if you hand me an Asleep! rag, expect to pick it up the next day. Along with a lump of coal in your stocking come Christmas.

    SN,

No, believe it or not we didn't get egged. It was the mid-sixties in a small town. How things have changed. Do that nowadays and the house would get set on fire by the Awake's.

Candy Corn evidently came out of a scarecrows cornhole. Is it not logical to conclude they are bad for you? Yes! They are shit!

I used to like those candies wrapped in black or orange wrappers that had bits of peanut butter in them. These days there isn't enough peanut butter/peanuts in them.

I liked getting bubble gum. Any kind of little candy bars or boxes of sugar babies, jr mints, giant nickel sweetarts, etc.

Today just give me a Cadbury's fruit and nut bar or dark chocolate.
