Do you enjoy watching predators hunt and kill on Nat Geo, Animal Planet, or Discovery Channel, etc?

Predators like sharks, lions and tigers are beautiful. It will be sad when/if they ever go extinct. Nevertheless, i don't care to see them siezing and eating living prey. It's proof that the nature is fucked up, at it's core. It proves that the phrase about it being wonderous proof of a loving, super intelligent creater is total bs, and those who utter it are seriously myopic. Likewise, the same predator/prey principles are seen throughout the universe: stars prey on other stars. One universe eats another. Science says that our own milky way galaxy has devoured many other galaxies. It goes on and on.

The hindu idea that matter is the lowest emenation seems to agree w the way nature, and the universe is.

    My thoughts exactly LWT...

The idea that "God is love" is not compatible with the concept of the food chain, where most organisms must kill, frequently violently, just to survive. God of love my ass.... how about god of violence.

The shark stuff, yes. I love sharks. I still feel bad for the seals and such when they're playing with their food - or is that just orcas?

I should clarify that I like everything to do with sharks and ocean animals though :)

I don't enjoy it, though I do find it fascinating. Life on earth is generally brief and violent, as is death.

I wouldn't say I "enjoy" it as such, but I accept it as part of nature and removed as we are from nature these days, it's interesting to see how the world actually works.

In this day and age, we are too far removed from the natural world of killing for survival. We are too used to buying our meat in vacuum sealed packets, nice and clean without any reference to how it came to be in our hands.
