God or Jesus NEVER answer back, so it's a one way conversation....

I for one have Christ talk back to me...So it's definately not a one way conversation for me...I also know quite a few who ''hear''...Like Shelby has said ask for ''ears'' to hear.

    Peace

Question for Chalam --- What is your position on voting and being part of the world or this applies to other things about the world --- how can you interpret?

    Thank you.

I have no problem with voting.

    Daniel 2:21 (New International Version © 2010)

    21 He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
    and knowledge to the discerning.

    John 19:11 (New International Version © 2010)

11 Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

    Romans 13:1 (New International Version © 2010)

1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. I ask the Holy Spirit to guide me with where to put my "X". With regards to being part of the world.

    1 Corinthians 5:9-11 (New International Version © 2010)

9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister [ a ] but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

    Footnotes:
    1. 1 Corinthians 5:11 The Greek word for brother or sister (adelphos) refers here to a believer, whether man or woman, as part of God’s family; also in 8:11, 13.

Paul is writing here about a situation of a person who is sleeping with his mother or step mother and is unrepentant, as are the rest of the church at Corinth 1 Corinthians 5:1

The directive is not to associate with such a person (who claims to be a believer). It is not a directive to not associate with worldly people, even overt sinners. This is clearly inline with the Lord's example.

    Matthew 9:10-12 (New International Version © 2010)

10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. 11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

    Matthew 21:31-32 (New International Version © 2010)

31 “Which of the two did what his father wanted?”

    “The first,” they answered.

Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.

    Blessings,

    Stephen
