Can you name this plant?
The subject of evolution and the question of why one would believe that various living things are so closely related that they sprang from a common ancestor comes up fairly often. Very strong opinions are expressed.

It's called the two pronged vaginal plant. The name is based on the shape of the growth near the top.

Kinda funny..the only ones who posted this and responded are from AZ.
These aren't Fouquieria splendens (Ocotillo) or anything else in that genus, but that's a very intuitive guess.
