Here's the house with lights on, at dusk...
You can just barely make out the two hanging spiders' eyes glowing red... And that extra red glow is from a spotlight I use to highlight my dragon - er, me in my dragon costume... Pix of that to follow in a few days...
Oh, yeah, it was FUN, all right...
Especially staying up till 1 AM to finish putting fur on my bald tarantula - picture coming up...
Oh, and the Candy corn wreath took a few hours, too... Was up late the next night, on that project...
But I'm all set for next year!!! (Except for repairing my poor dragon mask...)
And here's the formerly bald tarantula... With red, glowing eyes... I wired the lil' bugger with LED eyes, myself!!!
(He - er, she - is between the two pumpkins, with glowing red eyes - only two; I jiggled the camera too much - and shiney orange tin-foil fangs...)
Hey, Ziddy, if your house is still decked out, grab yourself a tripod and take some awesome night shots
I love the way you have gone to so much effort with your home. Here in Australia we really do not celebrate it.
Well done Ziddy, thanks for the photos!
3Mozzies
Ooopsies!!! Aw, 3Mozzies, the decorations are down, repaired, packed away and waiting for next Halloween!!!
Well, my neighbor has some pix; she has a new digital camera so we'll see how her pix turn out...
I take the decorations down that night - 9:00 P.M. came and no-one else showed up for candy or toys, so I packed up and had almost all of the decorations down by 10:30...
Had to take them down; vandals and thieves tend to steal and destroy if one leaves them up...
Now, Christmas decorations, that's a different story...
Depending on how deep the snow is, we have been known to leave them up until MARCH...
Zid.....very nice. We have alot of similar type decorations. We put on a show complete with lighting, music & fog machines. It has become quite the neighborhood legend. Lot's of screaming. Some kids cry and are too affraid to walk to the door. I dress as Mothman, complete with wings and glowing red eyes. I'll see if I can get the pics. Nice job.
Think About It
And finally...
Here's a picture of Alex, my 'basement' cat - but HE's a sweetie!!!
Cool, Think About It!!! I'm envious - usually Colorado's too windy for a fog machine to work out-of-doors - I've tried it on that very porch, and the wind strips away the fog before it forms more than a wisp or two...
I even purchased the large fog-making machine and ALL the additives and special water - and NOTHING!!! I was so disappointed...
At least, my house is well-known as being the "Dragon" house - hopefully my neighbor will deliver pix soon; I'm IN the costume, and can't get pix of myself!!
CANDY CORN, CANDY CORN - oh, how I do love CANDY CORN ...
but not to eat...
Okay, that is one grumpy piece of candy corn...
